Wesley Ridgwell, Owner of Big Man Movers Corp. has built the company around a great foundation. His beginnings in the moving business started while in High School and College, then continuing with the United States Marine Corps becoming an expert in his field of “3052”: Packing, Packaging, and Preservation. After six years with the United States Marine Corps, his expertise helped him land a job with United Parcel Service.
U.P.S. promoted him to Manager of the Routing Department in the Charlottesville, Virginia HUB. Upon completion of his time at Virginia Tech, the opportunity presented itself for Mr. Ridgwell to move to Central Florida. He started a Career as a Realtor selling New Homes. Throughout his years in the real estate business, he was fortunate to meet a wide array of clientele. Although he was at the “top of his game” in the Real Estate industry, it was not enough.
As a result of his extensive moving background and the many requests that were made over the years to “help move this” or “help move that” Mr. Ridgwell decided it was time to use his Business Administration background and launched Big Man Movers. Despite the fact it was in the middle of the great recession of 2009, Big Man Movers instantly became a success handling in-state and out-of-state moves. Mr. Ridgwells’ philosophy to “always treat each and every job as if it were his own” has been part of the company’s motto. Since the opening of Big Man Movers our reputation has remained the best in our industry and we have moved customers as far as Maui, Hawaii!!
